Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT) slot demo are launching the Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this May and there’s never been a better time as poker is taking Latin America by storm, so prepare yourself for a season of sizzling action.
PokerStars have already given us the European Poker Tour – EPT (in its fourth season), and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour – APPT (launched last year), and now they are bringing a poker tour to one of the world’s most beautiful locations from the 3rd to the 5th May 2008. The tournament is to be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is close to the night clubs and bars in central Rio. The capacity for this leg of the tour is 300 players who are expected to be mostly Latin American (because poker has exploded in popularity) and from the USA and Europe. The buy in for the 3 day event is $2,500 and the prize pool is expected to be $600,000! Alongside the Team PokerStars taking part will be professional players Humberto Brenes from Costa Rica and local poker ace Andre Akkan.
However, if your bankroll doesn’t run to $2,500 + hotel + expenses don’t despair, there are ways to get to this fantastic tournament without breaking the bank.
